Wines and sparkling wines from Pinot Noir grapes

Pinot Noir is recognised as one of the noblest grapes in the world. It’s an ancient variety that gives outstanding results in just a few wine areas. Oltrepò Pavese ranks third in Europe and fourth worlwide in terms of total production. The peculiar nature of the pedoclimatic conditions allow the growing of both Pinot Noir clones: the ones suited for the vinification in white or rosé (as still, semi-sparkling or sparkling wines) and the ones suited for the vinification in red (as young or reserve wines).
